Shares on Wall Street tumbled in premarket trading on Wednesday following sharp losses in Asia and Europe.
The Dow was falling over 400 points at its lowest, as the Nasdaq 100 dove over 2%. The selloff in Europe and Asia followed disappointing data on the manufacturing sector in China, Germany and the Eurozone, while the report for the United States is due for after the opening bell.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index lost 419 points, or 1.80%. The Nasdaq 100 fell 2.76% in premarket trading, as the S&P 500 decreased by 1.80%.
The euro weakened 0.36% against the US dollar, to go for $1.14246 at 5:42 am GMT.
