On Sunday evenings, Hungarian armed forces fighters received an alert that a French passenger plane flying on the Doha-Paris route had not established radio communication with civilian air traffic control.

Grippen identified the aircraft, which then made radio contact with civilian air traffic control. Fighter planes escorted the plane to the Austro-Hungarian border, from where it left the country’s airspace.

After that, the couple returned to the base in Kiskemet.
