Incidentally, a donation of 844 million euros (313 billion HUF) was collected from 340,000 donors from 150 countries around the world to rebuild the cathedral in Paris.

During the reconstruction work, archaeological excavations were also carried out, during which several hitherto unknown tombs were discovered in the church, including a completely intact lead sarcophagus in which a “high dignity” from the 14th century is supposed to have been buried. The tombs were found at the intersection of the main nave and the cruise ship.

Look inside with the camera

The camera, which led to the coffin, showed the remains of plants, hair and clothing under the head of the deceased, but no sign was found identifying the body, guardian Referring to AFP. A pit was also discovered in the cathedral under the current floor in which colorful sculptures were excavated. These were part of the ancient mausoleum, which was built in 1230 and destroyed in the early 18th century. Parts of the network were found as early as the 19th century, during the construction of the upper part of the church tower, and are now visible in the Louvre, MTI wrote.
