Hybrid GP practices can fill a gap

The European care system may change in the coming years.

There is a lack of basic care not only in Hungary, but also in other countries on the continent. The avi medical Munich startup 28.5 million euros مليون Collected From investors the third hybrid GP practice has now opened in Germany. The business wants to create a complete network and revolutionize the GP system.

Vlad Lata, co-founder of Avi Medical, came up with the idea during the coronavirus pandemic that powerful digitization could help many people. The company was founded last year by Latta, Christoph Baumeister and Julian Klee, with no less than a complete reorganization of European GPs care.

The company voted in favor of the hybrid business model, which means GP practices are equipped with the latest IT systems and patients can fill out surveys on their smartphone screens and even book their appointments online. Treatments can take place in face-to-face meetings or during video chats. The idea was quickly embraced by investors including 3VC, Addition, Claret Capital Partners, Heal Capital, ID Invest, Picus Capital and Vorwerk Ventures.

The co-founders believe that an all-digital model will not be effective and good enough. This is because technology should make the doctor’s life easier, not replace the specialist, because the direct personal relationship between patient and doctor is key. The hybrid system can help in areas where there has been a severe shortage of GPs for some time.

Robin Godenrath, partner at Picus Capital, said it was time to get some innovation in GP practices and finally connect digital solutions to patient care. Eckhardt Weber, partner at Heal Capital, added that they are convinced that technology will redefine healthcare and provide better, cheaper and simpler care for patients.
