Amazon’s new Italian series, the bang bang baby The action seldom gets to work: we see a teenage girl with a restrained but determined look in the company of two Marcona men who take their first rifles while sitting in the back seat of a car. Yes, I think Alice is the youngest member of the local mafia before our eyes.

This, of course, is just an introduction, we do not start here, but a little earlier, in 1986, in northern Italy, exactly in Veneto, where the teenage girl played by Ariana Pecheroni is trying to survive the hell of a high school. It’s not an easy thing to do as the adorable kids suck it in his nose and mouth, but he’s lucky to have fellow Jimbo (Petro Pachini), who also described him as a strange monk, standing by his side.

The two best friends decide one day to quit teaching after Alice reads in the newspaper that her father has been arrested. Alice is such a big sticking point for us in this story, she sarcastically tells what she sees all the way through, and like any teenage girl, she blushes hard. At times like these, we are so overflowing with dreamlike scenes that we can’t spit or swallow.

In most broadcast chains, we don’t even realize how modest industrial work is done by the professionals responsible for it, which is why it’s a great refreshment to see the effort put in by them as well.

Given the script, we can no longer be so happy, the flashback solution we initially saw is terribly tacky in 2022. Plus, the story threads slowly come together, and it’s almost as if the writers did their best to keep us out of the obscurity. They’re so fortunate that Ariana Pecheroni has brought up the character of Alice so cleverly since the first beat, and once we get to know the girl a little better, she starts to care what happens to her next.

K bang bang baby The hero of his novel gets acquainted with the hidden half of his family, bloody Italian gangsters, and even gets involved in a skirmish thanks to his father, who suffers in prison – well, the explanation of all this leaves much to be desired. It’s always outrageous when they build the season’s opening segment by bleeding from a thousand wounds, even though the filmmakers had nearly 60 minutes to establish the story. For example, Alice’s grandmother (Nona Lina) would not be properly introduced during the pilot either, although there is potential in the criminal old woman, not so little.

Producers of production managed to create an excellent atmosphere. Although we easily get into a rebellious anarchist mood in front of the TV as a bang bang baby It was messy at first. If we keep the aforementioned creative fixes and cuts whimsical and dreamy, we won’t regret a minute what we’re going to do with Season 1 later. So it doesn’t matter if we stay, even though it’s nowhere near the best TV series in the world. Tough, fun gangsta comet smoothly, indeed! (6.5 / 10)
