Index – Tech-Science – Security application activation is a huge challenge

We tried unsuccessfully to activate the EESC app that endorses protections declared in government information on Friday morning. The app can still be registered after Thursday’s announcement, but the next day the system is no longer working.

It’s a good idea to use a number of devices to activate your mobile security card, because in addition to entering codes, it includes scanning a QR code – the latter feature didn’t work on Android or iOS. Activating the application by entering a security code to replace the QR code provided by the system is not resolved, nor by reinstalling the application. The app has also disabled screenshots.

There were several complaints from readers about the use: they complained about the complexity of the activation process. This is convenient in our case because it turns out that there are users stuck at the point after the QR code in a multi-step process, but as far as we know, many successful registrars have not been able to use the app.

Others have also had problems downloading the app. “EESZT” is not really excluded from the search in the Google Play Store, but by clicking on the name of the developer, it can be found among the applications in the EHS area – but this does not appear to be the case as the primary problem.

Several of the error messages indicate that the server is not containing the traffic that might have been caused by increased interest, but in recent weeks there has also been an example of an overload attack on EESC’s online appointment service. We have contacted the General Directorate of the National Hospital about this topic, and we will update our article as soon as we receive answers to our questions.
