LG targets gamers with its first UltraGear laptop

LG’s gaming laptop comes with an 11th generation Intel “Tiger Lake H” processor, NVIDIA GeForceTM RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics, and two solid-state drives. All this is accompanied by an IPS panel with a response time of 1ms and an image refresh rate of 300Hz, thanks to which the notebook provides a smooth gaming experience even for the most intense PC games, as LG promises.

The UltraGear is based on a basic concept similar to the ultra-lightweight Gram laptops, making it extremely thin and just under 21.4mm thick. In addition, the player features a large 17.3-inch screen and a 93W battery that weighs less than 2.7 kg.

The machine also provides 3D sound with a built-in two-way speaker system. DTS: X Ultra compatible speakers precisely sense the direction and location of sounds in a gaming environment. The 17G90Q laptop also features an Intel Killer Wi-Fi controller, which promises a fast and stable network connection for a lag-free online gaming experience.

“The LG UltraGear gaming laptop has everything you need to run the latest high-performance games, giving gamers smooth gameplay and responsive control,” said Seo Young-jae, Vice President of Information Technology for LG Electronics Business Solutions. “LG’s first gaming laptop, the 17G90Q, stands out from the competition with its premium components, large and excellent screen, and ergonomic and elegant design.”

LG’s first laptop will be available for the first time in the US and South Korea in the first quarter of 2022, and will be available in other markets for the rest of the year.
