It’s usually a good idea to be the first to immerse yourself in the new features and capabilities that an update offers. But this is always risky, because the latest systems are not always bug-free. This is exactly the case with Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, the “stable” One UI 4 was released recently, but users encountered all kinds of errors after installation. Hence, Samsung has discontinued the update entry.
Owners of Samsung’s latest foldable display were the first to get the latest update in the company’s home country of South Korea, but One UI 4 caused them more inconvenience than joy. Once the new system is installed, a variety of errors can be heard and read. For the lucky ones, only screen flickering, app crashes, and slow process suggest that something wasn’t kosher with the new update, and those who weren’t smeared had their cell phones broken. Some unfortunate users immediately went into recovery mode, which was another warning sign for the Korean company that they still have to rethink this program.
So it’s no wonder that Samsung has stopped offering the update so it can fix the bug in the system code. For those affected, Samsung offers online support in resolving issues.
It is not yet known when the truly stable One UI 4 will arrive for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, but it is definitely worth waiting for the system restore. Without it, the broader introduction wouldn’t make much sense anyway.
