Chaos was less in Cannes, where the winners of the 74th Cannes Film Festival were announced.
Spike Lee, head of the jury, accidentally discovered, after a slight misunderstanding, at the beginning of the evening that Julia Docorno’s drama, Titan, would win the Golden Palm. The presenter asked about the first prize, but thought it would be the first to be announced. Maybe because of the translation, but Lee misunderstood the question and answered who gets the top prize.
The unexpected turn caused slight confusion and then excitement. In the end, it turned out that there was nothing wrong, it really declared me the real winner. Docornau is the second woman in the festival’s history to win the Golden Palm award.
