Unfortunately, only the owners of a new Galaxy phone in South Korea can take advantage of really high security, as Samsung’s second quantum-tech smartphone, Galaxy Quamtum2, will be available here.

Samsung and South Korea Advertise Service Provider SK Telecom Galaxy Quantum2, the second Samsung smartphone with quantum encryption technology. Like its predecessor, Galaxy A Quantum, last year, the Galaxy Quantum2 was equipped with the world’s smallest QRNG chipset, measuring 2.5 x 2.5mm. The chip was developed by ID Quantique, SKT’s strategic partner in quantum cryptographic communication technology.

The QRNG chipset allows smartphone owners to access secure services, providing reliable authentication and encryption of information by generating unexpected and atypical random numbers. The QRNG chip automatically works with apps that use the Android Keystore APIs, making this technology much easier for developers.

Pre-orders for the device, which will arrive in South Korea on April 23, have already been collected. Samsung has basically thought about users who want a secure phone with good enough specs. It has a resolution of 6.7 inches and 1440 x 3200 pixels. That’s why the device with a Super AMOLED display gets Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855+ chipset with 7nm technology. It contains 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage.

On the back there is a triple camera (64MP, 12MP, 5MP), the self-timer is 10MP. A 4,500 mAh battery powers the Android 11 phone. In their country, a black, white and purple 5G device will be sold for roughly 190,000 Ft. It is known that Samsung may introduce this phone elsewhere (called the Galaxy A82), but the global version will lose the QRNG chip.
