The eight-seat Fiat minibus has arrived

Fiat’s all-new electric passenger car, the E-Ulysse, has been revealed, and the Italian automaker is returning to the so-called MPV segment. The name may be familiar to many, since the car with the name Ulysse was already in Fiat’s offerings until 2010, when production of the so-called pickup truck was discontinued. But this is not the only model name that Fiat has created from the past: Scudo is also back in a new look and also got an electric motor.

The E-Ulysse is already powered by the well-known Stellantis carmaker’s powertrain, with an engine power of 260 Nm and a top speed of 130 km/h for 100 kW (136 hp). Customers can order a car with a 50 or 75 kWh battery, the latter of which has a range of 330 km according to WLTP. The battery can be charged up to 100 kW DC and the on-board charger can handle up to 11 kW AC.

The car will be available in several versions: the Shuttle version offers 8 seats and the passenger compartment can be arranged in a total of 12 configurations, while the lounge 16 offers a configuration for 7 people. In both versions, the rear seats are installed on rails, so that they can be easily moved according to the needs of users. The luggage compartment capacity is 4200 liters in the E-Ulysse with a height of 4.95 meters and 4900 liters in the 5.3-meter version, but this can only be used to the maximum if the seats are not occupied, otherwise 900 and 1500 liters can fit behind the passengers .

Production is located at the Stellantis plant in Hordain, France, and orders begin in March in Italy, Germany, France and Austria. The car will reach dealerships in May.
