For some time now, smartphone developments have been clearly moving in the direction of having the most useful display area as possible and accommodating the fewest sensor islands and camera holes. According to a notorious industry leak, more of these devices will arrive in the second half of this year than ever before, thanks to the front cameras hidden under the panels – Writes Techradar. The first mobile phone to use such a solution was launched last fall ZTE Axon 20The manufacturer has hidden a 32MP self-timer camera at the bottom of the screen.
According to a leak posted on Twitter under the name UniverseIce, behind this trend this year, major names like Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and ZTE will be lining up, so there will be a lot for users to choose from. The leak mentions, among other things, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, which he had heard many times before about the camera hidden under the panel. He adds, however, that both Samsung and Oppo are planning a foldable mobile phone solution.
On the other hand, it is not certain that Apple will move away from the notch with the iPhone 13, as there are indications that its designers will reduce its size instead.
The second half of the year is when the Under Display Camera will officially appear, including at least Samsung (foldable), Xiaomi (MIX4), OPPO (foldable), vivo and ZTE (greatly improved version).
