Iceland’s 82-times national team Bjarke Mar Ellison continues his career at Veszprem. The 31-year-old left-hander has agreed to a two-year contract with the Hungarian club.

Telekom Veszprém announced its agreement with Elisson on its official website. The winger will be the successor to Dejan Manaskov, who will leave in the summer when his contract expires. Telekom announced the farewell to the 29-year-old North Macedonia on February 15. You will be joining the Veszprém framework in the Icelandic summer.
Born in Reykjavik, Ellison became a professional colorist for HK Kópavogur, became legionnaire in 2013 and has been in Germany ever since. He was previously a handball player for ThSV Eisenach and Füchse Berlin, and since 2019 he has been a key player for TBV Lemgo. His first season was brilliant at Lemgo, winning the German Cup while also becoming the Bundesliga’s top scorer.
Ellison was a key member of the Icelandic team at the European Handball Championship, which took place in Hungary in January – he also won nine times against us. He played 82 matches in the national team’s colors and scored a total of 230 goals in these matches.

It was an old dream of mine to play for BL, especially in the colors of one of the most famous teams – Quoted from Icelandic handball – I would describe myself as an influential winger, I like to get into the game and score as much as I can. In both Lemgó and the national team, I shoot for seven metres, and of course I don’t mind if I can take the opportunity for myself at Veszprém.. ”
According to the team’s announcement, Elisson will wear the number 21 kit in Veszprém.
