The Vodafone TV portfolio will also be replenished this year: as of September 28, up to 122 channels will be available, including 61 HD TV channels, to Vodafone customers, which is one of the widest HD programs in Hungary, the service provider announced. In addition to traditional channels, streaming content such as Netflix, RTL Most+, Da Vinci Kids or YouTube will be available – although Netflix and YouTube previously were on the company’s new TV platform.
Vodafone has already eliminated the duplicate SD and HD channels in its channel it shows over the summer, thus almost merging the current wallet update. The aim of this measure was to ensure that the channels available in SD and HD quality would not be distracting while watching TV, and instead subscribers would automatically be able to enjoy the higher quality channels available in their programming package.
The company is also temporarily providing customers with previous bundle and Vodafone TV with access to new HD channels, so the service provider puts them “in a home environment to experience the benefits of the new channel assignment” – exactly how long that will happen. Detailed by the service provider.
In addition to the TV portfolio, wired Internet will also be replenished. From September 28, even the smallest Internet package will provide Internet service with a minimum bandwidth of 250 Mbit / s, and the sale of the previous 150 Mbit / s service will be discontinued.
According to the company, 1 gigabit fixed line internet is becoming more and more popular, and it is already available in more than 1.5 million homes and businesses in Hungary. Simplification of TV channel width and rearrangement is one of the prerequisites for the service provider to be able to establish endpoint connections on the cable network with higher transmission speeds in as many areas as possible.
