Magyar Posta has signed a three-year agreement with the two largest postal unions to develop basic wages for a period of three years, the company told MTI on Monday.
Postal employees will receive a 4 percent base salary increase from July 1, 2021. In addition, the company has increased the amount of fringe benefits for this year to a total of HUF 300,000 in recognition of loyalty.
According to the information, the wage agreement will be held on Monday Giorgi Shamshula, signed by CEO Magyar Posta and President of the Postal Union and the Hungarian Postmen’s Association.
Employees will receive overtime for the first time with their salaries in July, that is, at the beginning of August, in addition – also in August – the employer will pay half of the annual bonus, a total of 150 thousand HUF, and the other half at the beginning of December Hungarian Post.
In a statement, CEO Giorgi Shamshula noted that the agreement guarantees an expected increase in wages for all postal workers until 2023. On the one hand, the salary agreement recognizes the performance and commitment of employees, and on the other hand, is predictable and sustainable for Magyar Posta.
Magyar Posta announced in its announcement that in accordance with the agreement for the period 2021-2023, the salaries of postal employees will increase by a total of 15 percent within 3 years. After 4 percent in 2021, the basic salary for postmen will rise by an average of 9 percent in 2022 and by 2 percent in 2023.
Detailed rules for increasing salaries for the following years will be determined by the parties at a later time. In addition, the employer will provide one day of paid absence for employees who have been vaccinated against Covid in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
